Virgin Territory, a short film by Transparent star Emily Robinson with score by Catherine, premiered at Los Angeles Film Festival (LAFF) and then screened at Outfest and Frameline. It is now part of Outfest on the road, and is scheduled for many festivals this fall - details coming soon.
Catherine recently completed scoring the feature Tennis documentary Gold Balls. She is now working on multiple feature films which will release in 2017.
Catherine's feature horror The Basement is currently on the festival circuit. Most recently it screened opening night at the Fright Night Film Fest and will be screening at Martinsville Horrorfest in November.

Catherine Grealish is an award-winning LA-based composer for film, games, media and live performance. Catherine is the Executive Director for the Alliance for Women Film Composers. She plays many instruments inlcuding violin, piano, and guitar. Catherine won the Independent Music Vox Pop Award for her soundtrack for the film All Things Hidden.
Catherine’s music has been featured in award-winning films, including the short Pearl which won Best Short at the Mexico International Film Festival and Madrid International Film Festival. She recently completed scoring the feature documentary Gold Balls. Catherine also scored the video game The Hole Story which won the 2016 ID@Xbox Rising Star Award.
She has also scored many other independent films including The Basement, The Last Buck Hunt, Citizen Heroes and Speaking of Dying, along with the popular web series Capitol Hill. Catherine is currently scoring the video game Alicorn Pricess Blast along with many other film and media projects.
Her work for Didgeridoo and chamber orchestra For Those Who Have Walked Ahead premiered at Benaroya Recital Hall as part of Celebrate World Music in March 2013. Catherine’s orchestral work Artist and The Muse premiered in 2012.
Catherine graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Music at Cornish College of the Arts. She then completed her Masters of Music from Boston University and also went through the Pacific Northwest Film Scoring program in 2011.
Catherine is from Tasmania, Australia. She moved to the United States in 1998 to pursue a career in music.
The score never fails to provide that atmosphere and to accentuate whatever emotion holds sway over the characters on screen at any given moment. Indeed, it’s hard to imagine this film being as effective without Grealish’s score behind it. Cinema on the Rocks
